My Typeface

I have created a typeface for my book which I am using in the title. Each letter is designed in a 5X5 squared 1 inch cube like the actual cube. I only just realized how much the little cubes look like pixels and since pixel is a five letter word I might call it a PIXEL CUBE. I really like the pattern the letters make.

I went out and bought 1X1 inch blocks.

My Idea

Over the break I had a break through!!!

I have figured out what to do with my patterns! It is a little tricky to explain but I am creating a cube of 110 block with printed patterns on all sides. the cube will be 5in X 5in. in the center there will be a space 5 blocks tall, 3 blocks wide and 1 block thick - that will be the dimensions of my book. I wanted my reader of the book to experience the patterns as I do so I created a game. I am calling the book/cube the DZINE CUBE. I hope to design everything around 1 X 1 idea to reflect the blocks. I want to make some sort of clear case to hold the book and the blocks.
