Updated Goals and Ideas

1. start working on hand drawn patterns
- I want to draw more of a situation and fill the image with pattern. I think this will help people really see the patterns around them in their world.
2. continue taking photography
3. document where pictures are taken and when
4. start vectoring out patterns from photography
5. start organizing patterns into categories
6. look into more of the form of the book, how should it feel

First Blueprint

More of an experience of patterns

I want to document the patterns I see using my digital camera.

I will vecorize some patterns and lay them out so the viewer can see the possibilities in them that I see.

I will capture the patterns and I also want to juxtapose the paterns with the context I find them in.

Once I collect all the photographs that I need, I will have to categorize them into their families based on characteristics and resemblences.

To section my book, I will create icons and chapter pages that resemble the patterns you will find within. I dont think my book will include any text, it will just be a visual experience.

I am also documenting where and when I take the pictures, I may want to somehow include a map or informational graphic in my book at the beginning or the end or scattered throughout.

What I plan to do!

I am trying to gather images of patterns so that I can creatively put them all together in a book. I'm thinking of making line drawings of the city and places and filling them with random patterns. I also want to experiment with hand drawn patterns. Photography is my main tool to create the images for my book so everything I put in the book will be photographed.
